Bra Care

So, you've got a new Erblis bra. It's beautiful, it's comfortable, and it fits like a dream.

But now what? Should you wash it after every wear? What if you sweat a lot? What if the weather is cold and rainy? How often should you wash your bras?

The truth is, there isn't really a "right" answer to this question—it depends on the person. But here are some general guidelines:

If you tend to sweat a lot, or if you live in an area with high humidity or lots of rain, then washing your bras more frequently will help keep them fresh. Most experts recommend washing every four wears or so.

If you live in a dry climate or don't tend to sweat much, then going longer between washes—even up to ten wears—may be enough for your bras to stay clean and fresh.

Here's our advice on how to clean your bras and underwear so they last longer, look better, and feel softer.

  1. Fill your sink with lukewarm water and a few drops of mild detergent (we recommend Woolite).
  2. Swish your bras around in the water until they're clean, then lay them out flat to dry.
  3. To wash your underwear, rinse them first in cold water (a mesh bag makes this easier), then put them in the washing machine with cold water and Woolite like you would any other delicates (like lingerie).

How to dry a bra?

Drying your bra is a lot easier than you think—we promise! Follow these simple steps and you'll never have to worry about ruining your favorite bra again:

Step 1: Never put your bra in the tumble dryer. Bras are not resistant to high temperatures and will among other things lose their elasticity and color.

Step 2: Never squeeze your bra dry as this will distort the cup shape.

Step 3: The best way to dry a bra is to have it air-dried by laying your bra flat on a towel with the cups up.

Step 4: Never iron your bras.

Underwear Care

We know you love your Erblis underwear, so we want to make sure you keep them looking great for as long as possible.

Here are some tips on how to wash your underwear:

  • Wash at 30 to 40 degrees (unless the care label says otherwise)
  • Always wash with similar colored items
  • For black or red knickers, wash these separately from other colors
  • Printed or embellished knickers should be washed inside out in a bra bag if machine washed
  • Do not iron knickers with lace or other delicate fabrics
