Panties in Pakistan cost roughly Rs. 150 to Rs. 300 a piece in marketplace multipacks, Rs. 350 to Rs. 700 a piece from established local brands, and Rs. 700 to Rs. 1,500 for seamless, lace or specialist styles. The two things that actually change with price are the gusset fabric and the elastic — and the elastic is what decides whether a pair is still wearable in six months.
Underwear is the one garment where price comparison is genuinely confusing, because almost everything is sold in packs. A Rs. 999 three-pack and a Rs. 599 single are not comparable until you divide. This guide works in per-piece cost throughout, which is the only honest way to compare. Written October 2026 — treat the tiers as the durable part.
How much should a pair of underwear cost in Pakistan?
Under Rs. 300 a piece — marketplace multipacks
Daraz and local marketplaces sell packs of three, five and ten that work out well under Rs. 300 each. The fabric is usually a thin cotton blend or polyester, the gusset is often the same fabric as the rest rather than cotton, and the elastic is a thin band sewn flat rather than encased.
What goes wrong: the waistband elastic stretches out and stops holding, the leg openings roll, and the fabric pills. Expect a few months rather than a year. For a short-term top-up or a travel pack, reasonable. As your entire drawer, false economy.
Rs. 350–700 a piece — established local brands
This is the everyday tier and where most people should shop. You should get: a proper cotton gusset, encased or wide-band elastic that recovers after washing, consistent sizing against a published chart, and fabric opaque enough to wear under light colours. A pair in this tier, washed gently, lasts a year or more.
Rs. 700–1,500 a piece — seamless, lace and specialist
Laser-cut seamless edges that leave no line under fitted clothes, modal or bamboo blends that handle heat better, lace that doesn't scratch, and specialist construction — period underwear, high-waisted shaping briefs, no-show thongs. Here you are paying for the finish and the fabric rather than for basic durability, which you already got in the tier below.
What actually changes as the price goes up?
- The elastic. The most important and least visible difference. Cheap flat elastic loses its stretch within months; encased or wide knitted elastic recovers after each wash. When a pair of knickers rolls down or the leg opening digs in, the elastic is almost always the reason.
- The gusset. A proper cotton gusset is breathable and far better for intimate health. Cheap pairs often skip it and use the same synthetic fabric throughout — in Karachi's humidity that is a real comfort and hygiene difference, not a marketing one.
- Fabric and opacity. Combed cotton, modal and bamboo blends are softer, cooler and more opaque than thin cotton-poly. Thin fabric shows through lawn and light colours.
- Seam finish. Laser-cut or bonded edges versus a folded-and-stitched hem. This is the difference between invisible under fitted clothes and a visible line.
Are multipacks better value?
Usually yes, provided the per-piece price lands in a tier you actually want. A five-pack at Rs. 2,000 is Rs. 400 a piece — good value. A ten-pack at Rs. 1,500 is Rs. 150 a piece, which tells you exactly what the construction will be.
The trap is buying a large pack in your usual size letter without checking the measurements. If the sizing is off you have bought ten unwearable pairs rather than one. Always check the centimetre measurements against our panty size chart before committing to a multipack.
How many pairs should you own, and how often replace them?
Enough that each pair gets a full rest between wears — most people are comfortable with ten to fourteen. Replace a pair when the elastic no longer holds, the fabric has thinned, or the gusset has worn, which with regular wear is usually somewhere between six months and a year. More on both: how many bras and pairs of underwear should you own and how often to replace them.
Which style should you buy at which price?
Style matters less to cost than construction does, but a few notes:
- Everyday briefs and bikinis are the cheapest to make well, so the mid tier gives you most of the benefit. See bikini underwear and hipsters.
- Seamless and no-show styles genuinely need the upper tier — the whole point is the edge finish, and cheap seamless is not seamless. See full-coverage vs minimal underwear.
- Thongs live or die on the gusset and the waistband width. When to wear a thong.
- High-waisted and shaping styles need good elastic above all, so avoid the bottom tier entirely. High-waisted underwear.
- Period underwear is a specialist construction and the cheap versions do not work. Period underwear, honestly assessed.
Where should you buy, at each budget?
- Under Rs. 250 a piece: marketplace multipacks. Nothing else competes, and we will say so plainly. Check measurements, not size letters.
- Rs. 350–700 a piece: established Pakistani brands — the sensible everyday range.
- Above Rs. 700: this is where Erblis sits, for seamless and specialist styles. We use cotton gussets, recovering elastic and finished edges, with free Karachi delivery and Cash on Delivery so you can inspect before you pay. If you need a week's worth of basics on a tight budget, buy the multipack — that is the right call and we would rather be honest about it.

Frequently asked questions
What is a reasonable price for a pair of underwear in Pakistan?
Rs. 350 to Rs. 700 a piece for everyday underwear you expect to last a year. Below about Rs. 250 you are buying marketplace multipacks with thin elastic and inconsistent sizing.
Why is cheap underwear uncomfortable?
Usually the elastic and the gusset. Thin flat elastic digs in and rolls; a synthetic gusset traps heat and moisture, which in a humid climate becomes uncomfortable quickly.
Are underwear multipacks worth buying?
Yes, if the per-piece price is in a tier you want and you have confirmed the sizing first. Divide the pack price by the pack size before comparing anything.
What fabric is best for underwear in Pakistan's heat?
Cotton with a cotton gusset for everyday wear; modal or bamboo blends if you want something cooler and softer. Avoid all-polyester in summer.
How often should I replace my underwear?
When the elastic stops holding, the fabric thins, or the gusset wears — typically six months to a year with regular wear.
Does Erblis deliver underwear in Karachi?
Yes — free Karachi delivery with no minimum, Cash on Delivery, plain discreet packaging, and a free tote with every order.
